IFSP

IFSP stands for Individualized Family Service Plan. An IFSP is a written legal document that describes the supports that infants and toddlers with disabilities or delays need.

When children receive services through Babies Can't Wait, they have an IFSP that writes out what therapies or supports are needed. When children turn 3, they may then start special education supports through an Individualized Education Program or IEP.

A Note On Language: We use "autistic child" in line with autistic self-advocates. Some prefer "child with autism." We respect everyone's choice.
